Museum of Illusions in Florence

The Museum of Illusions was born in 2022 in Borgo degli Albizi in Florence.

It is spread over two floors for a total of 600 square meters characterized by numerous works capable of capturing the attention of adults and children.

It is the second museum of illusions to be created in Italy, after the one in Milan.

The various rooms showcase numerous completely original works, works that can be observed but with which interactions can also be defined.

The spaces of the museum host installations, drawings, puzzles, mirrors.

There is no shortage of visual effects, plays of light and shadow and riddles designed to pique the curiosity of all kinds of visitors.

The goal of the Museum of Illusions is to merge art and science. In fact, the works of art exhibited meet physics and optics, biology, psychology and mathematics.

We can explore visual perception, perspective and the deception of the senses.

Among the attractions, the one dedicated to selfies stands out: it is a space where we can take pictures of ourselves inside the overturned room or from the perspective chair.

The Museum of Illusions recalls the original concept conceived and implemented for the first time in Zagreb in 2015.
